Brushing the fairways

Last week we took advantage of some good weather and started our brushing process on the fairways.  We do this every spring at the start of the first mowing of the year to help remove a lot of the brown, dead material.  This process also helps to enable the green new grass leaves to get more sunlight, and in turn start to grow.  We send the two brushes out first, followed by the mower to help clean up the standing grass.  Last step is to blow all the clippings and debris left behind so that the fairways are playable again.  Take a look below at some photos of us working on #5 fairway.
